If you are a registered member of a wordpress site you must have a role on that site. Administrator the name of a role is created automatically when he installs wordpress though he can change it later. But an administrator must be needed for any site. Generally administrator is the owner of a site who totally controls the site. Beside the role of administrator there are another four important roles in wordpress.

Sometimes we want get some bogger who will write in our site he must be a registered member. Beside as a cms there are comment systems. Sometimes we restrict the power that only registered member can comment here. So an administrator always controls the user role. There is a default setting in General option. An administrator must set the role for new user if he wants to select register anyone. What role will be as default it will consider an administrator based on his needs.   1. Administrator: Administrator power is all in one. He can control everything in a site.
  2. Author: An author has a power to write and publish post. Beside he can modify his post and comment to the others post when it is needed.
  3. Editor: Editor is a powerful role of a wordpres site. He can edit and delete of any post and comment without the user. Because User controlling power in gather only for an administrator.
  4. Contributor: A contributor user can help the administrator to write the post but he has not any power to publish the post. It’s like a moderate comment.
  5. Subscriber: When we restrict comment system. We use an option that only registered member can comment here. This new user role will be subscriber. He would only participate in comment system not any post.
